Hi there - I have 10 payday loans from the following companies: Ameriloan Speedy Cash (I checked and is licensed in CA) VC Funding Spot On Paycheck Now One Click Eastside Lenders Adavantage Cash Services Tior Payday One I have successfully closed my bank account and am receiving a tax return that could cover the balances owed to all of these lenders (about 6k+). I have, however, paid most of them more than the amount loaned after several months of paying the finance charges.

I received a letter from Law Office of Thomas Landis, for debt collection for Pinnacle Credit Services in October 2010. I sent a debt validation letter via certified mail to the Law Office of Thomas Landis and received the delivery receipt. I still have not received any response to date, and Pinnacle is still reporting this on my credit report. What do I need to do next.

I have been getting some strange phone numbers. I can usually trace them back to someone or put a notice of a scam online if I can find out where the phone number is from. However I am now getting a wierd phone number format. It is showing up on my caller ID as a xxx-xxx-xxxxx number. The last set of numbers has 5 in it so I can't really trace it back or can I. The first call I got was from. 886-201-14358, (all of these calls were 1 minute apart) 385-801-22225, 403-001-28209, 750-001-14388, Is there anyway of knowing where these calls are made from.

I received a summons the other day (ny state supreme court). Nobody was home so they taped it the door. So far, I haven't received the "mail" part of the nail and mail. Also, jan 31st is hand-written on the summons (along with index number which is very hard to read). What recourse do I have if I don't receive something in the mail and/or they wrote down jan 31st as the day they delivered the summons. It seems like it boils down to my word against the process server and plaintiff which is an argument I'm sure I would lose in the eyes of the court.

Hello Nelly; I settled with oxford in '09 and now someone else is calling for the same debt. I request a receipt be sent to me 3 times and to this day have not received it. The someone else that is calling now about the same debt is saying that there is a government judgement against me now because I still owe all this money and when I advised her that I settled she said that if I don't have a piece of paper to back up that claim then I would have to pay again. How much of that is true and how may I proceed from here.
