To anyone on this forum that have dealt with Lombardo, Davis, and Goldman Firm. I received an e-mail from the Attorney General of New York stating that they are doing a full on investigation with this firm claiming to be a law firm where entirely they are a debt collection agency that has been violating the FDCPA rules. They are now asking for statements to anyone whose dealt with them and the Attorney General will put a stop to this firm once and for all.

Hi, Someone called from a collection agency and are trying to collect a debt from Chase (last payment i made was 5/2010). They mentioned another agency (E.A.F) is going to "make a decision" so i assume they meant legal, but of course they didn't say that. ( I have never received a letter or anything from either company, just from Chase but not recently. My question is this: as one CA is in NY and EAF is in Illinois, do you think they will bother to sue me in California? The debt is about 7K. I am wondering how long that would take to happen realistically.

My spouse was the primary of an MBNA account that is now FIA CSNA. I was not on this contract or knew of this account until the death of my husband in October 2010 which I reported to them of his death. FIA CSNA now reported me to the credit bureau as a primary on his account and delinquent. How do I fight this company? I have written to them along with the credit bureau and my credit remains ruined. I asked for them to show where I agreed to contract with them or my signature and they reported they do not have to maintain records.
