Recont trust (Bank Of America) is selling our home to day. We have tried to modify our loan with them but they wont budge. They had our loand mod packeag from Nov. 1 week before the sale date they tell us we dont qualify for any program & wont give us anymore time. What happends now when they sell the house today. Do we get a letter telling us we have 30 day to get out?

I was sued in May 2010 for a debt that I owed, however, I settled the lawsuit out of court and made arrangements with the lawyer/debt collector to satisfy the debt with a payment plan. We verbally agreed to $150 a month and the lawyer kindly advised me that if I miss a payment, I may have to go to court and pay the remaining amount owed if it can't be further resolved out of court. Okie dokie.I successfully paid several months in a row, however, I missed a payment in December and was contacted via mail that I should contact the lawyer and find a solution to the debt.

I recently sold my property as a short sale and today my credit alerts popped up with Experian - Grid Code H (foreclosure or reposession)!!!! My property is most definitely a short sale and not a foreclosure or reposession - how can I get this changed????:confused:

Call from American? had a lot of personal info on me regarding an Everest Cash Advance that was suing my for writing a fraudulant check. I reported Everest and refused to pay once I found out they were not legal according to this site. Didn't hear from them in a long time....but now Got my credit card info anda callled me at work to serve me papers? Said I owed $145.00 and were taping me??

I have a payday loan with arrowhead that was taken out in sept or oct, I have already paid them around $930. Is there anything I can do about this? they are taking 150 every two weeks from my account, my loan was for 500, which i see now is not even legal in Mississippi. Please help

I have been called twice on my cell phone the first time I asked Ron Peterson, (if that's his real name), to make a note in their records that he was calling a cell phone and by Federal Law this is illegal. After reading the post I guess I will call the Texas state Attorney Generals office.

I have received several calls from 888-207-0318 saying that I have a limited time to call them before being served at my place of work and home. Yesterday they called my ex husbands house (never had that phone number with him) and my parents. Scared my mom to death, they told her I had 30 minutes to call and ask for relief order form 115. I read on 800 notes that someone called them and they asked for case # and the people hung on them. I did call the # from a payphone down the street and it said thanks for calling Capital, a lady answered and hung up.

I just received a very odd phone call from someone at First Source. He couldn't even pronounce my name right and wanted me to verify my address with him before he would tell me what he wanted. First RED flag...he called my work number. NO ONE that I owe anything to has my work phone number. I ALWAYS give my cell number because I cannot receive personal calls at work. I then told the guy that I was not giving him any information because if he was a ligitimate bill collector for me, then he would have the correct number to call to reach me. Who do I report this situation to?

Is there any time limit for creditors to sue us for payments?

When can a creditor add interest to a debt?
