Would It be worth it to consolidate all personal loans into one large loan?

Hello it's me again, I got a phone call today from 1-816-423-8000 a PDM company I asked who they were calling for and told me Everest that I had a loan with them which I did for $400 but I told the man that I had paid this loan in full... So I wasn't 100% sure so just looking at my bank statements I have paid this Everest a total of $666.00 before I put in a stop payment on them due to my job loss, so I feel as if they owe me money if I'm wrong will someone please tell me and if I'm right what can I do?? I recently got a copy of my credit report and found out that Asset Acceptance did a credit check on me!! Can they do that without my permission? Does the Privacy act cover this?

I don't know how to start...Can I just give someone my info, and they figure out how much money I owe? Because i don't even know. I don't know who I owe, or what I owe, I just know that it's quite a bit.

CashNet USA in Illinois....What's the scoop? Are they legal? I have a friend who had a loan with them and due to some other illegal loans, she has closed her bank account and this one called today and said they were suing her and then later she got another call saying it was a law firm, but they didn't leave a name. I got a call from a private number and they left this message on my voicemail??? will debt consolidation effect my credit score?

Hope you all are having a great afternoon! I am receiving a settlement check in an amount that totals over $10,000.00 and the insurance company's bank that the check was issued by is Bank of America. I currently do not have a bank account (on Chexsystems) and the only one I had open (bad idea) was a Bank of America account that closed for insufficient funds around $350.00.

I keep getting calls from a bogus collection agency called the Pakhar group. The message they leave says to either call them at (800) 620-0371 or go to their website, pakhargroup[dot]com. When I have gone to their website it's a scam also. There is many realy related sites they send you to which are also scams. How do I stop them from calling & harassing me?
