Can a cease and desist letter be sent requesting phone calls to be stoped? With mail only communication to negotiate debt owed.

i wanna know who this company is and if it is reputable. I have no idea who this debt they say I owe is from all I have is an account number and a dollar amount. I dont have an outstanding debt in this amount to any creditor and I have even checked my credit report and it still doesnt list this dollar amount. Very questionable for sure and why would anyone just start sending money to a management company without further information in regards to the actual creditor who is employing this company to represent them?

With a lien request delivered to the wrong company. I don't even work for them. They say i owe about 1.9k what could happen next???

Received a call from 866-541-2695 Gateway Recovery but they say to call back to 888-716-2505 Gateway is yet another Buffalo NY so called Debt Collector. I am filing complaints with the FTC, BBB, NY Attorney General and My state attorney General. Lets see how many fines we can rack up with each of these so called illegal debt collectors.

I have been receiving calls from 866-660-1627 which is P & B Debt aka Phillip and Burns aka Phillips & Burns Lakeside Holdings aka P & B Capital Group... they use the following address 461 Ellicott Street 2nd floor Buffalo NY 14203 and 461 Ellicott Street 3rd Floor Buffalo NY 14203 369 Washington St. Buffalo NY 14203. I am filing a compalin with the FTC, BBB, Attorney General etc etc. even going to my attorney to file suit. and yet they claim on their website not to believe what we consumers are saying. these are low life bottom feeders that bought your debt for pennies.

can they reduce balances on my credit cards? Is this a non-profit organization?

I can pay a 100 down, 60 a months so fall they want call me back. Should I send them my paystubs. I make less ten 150 a week. they won in court. I was sick for a few years.

Can I negoitiate with the creditors on my wife's behalf? Also, how could they find out I was working if I told them I had lost my job?

I just went over my last 3 month bank statements to have my ducks in a row. I am so upset with myself!! National Group I took out my first Loan of $300.00. Paid 360.00 total in fees and then paid if off $390.00. Then I just took another not too long ago like a dummy and that's when I joined the forum. But it gets better!!! Took one out with SSM group which I believe is the same company. Paid $360.00 and then paid it off at 390.00 took another one out for $350.00. They took that amount out of my checking before it was over drawn but that's all they got.

A summons was slipped under the door of apartment by these guys yesterday. I have no idea how they got in the building or past security. The summons has no case number and is not signed or stamped by the court. It says that the plaintiff is Central Collection Service, Division of Finance and Procurement, State of Colorado as an agent for Front Range Community College, an agency of the State of Colorado. And it says the attorneys for the plaintiff are Machol & Johannes.
