I was wondering if someone could give me a little info on what I would need to request a refund from some of these places. I'm not holding out hope that I will actually get one, but I figured why not try. Can't hurt you know. What will I need to do to start the process, also some of these accounts are a year or two old, is it too late for me to try. Any help or info that anyone has will be greatly appreciated.

I got a call today from a friend who received a threatening call from a process server saying she would be sued if I didnt call IAG Collections regarding an outstanding debt. I have never received a call from this agency or mail, so I called to find out more. They told me it was for a payday loan I took out online over three years ago from myloans.com before I found out from the Attorney General's office that online payday loans are illegal in the state of CT.

I currently reside in Iowa. I have 2 outstanding Pay Day Loans. 1st one is from Paradise - $300 and I've paid 4 "payments" of $75 each. None of which went to my principal. 2nd is from LLS America - $600 haven't made a payment yet but it will be $175 none of which goes to the principal. I contacted an orginization for help but they wanted to charge me $150 to send out letters for ACH revocations. Isn't there a way to do this on my own??? Any help would be greatly appreciated

i would like to know if u have stories from so many people about this same company and everyone is sayin the same thing basically about them being scared out of their minds about going to jail for some payday loans that they owe to the point that they are not thinking straight and by them not thinking clearly they make be giving up a little to much info to this company or some even going has to far has paying them. and u know its a scam why hasnt something been done by now to shut this company down so that they cant do the same to people after us

In 2004 I withdrew from a semester too late and was still charged full tuition for the semester. I didn't pay. There were no loans or promissory notes (my financial aid didn't go through), just a bill. This was reported correctly on my credit report as a collections account as of 2005. I got a letter from the university threatening legal action if I did not pay. I was in a situation to begin paying on the debt, so I set up a payment plan with them. Once I did that, the reporting went from a collections account to an unsecured loan.

They called a neighbor of mine and said; She is a friend that I went to grammar school with and asked my neighbor for my phone number. This somehow seems very illegal.
