They called for a family member no longer at this address and refused to tell me what they did as a business. Inquired as to my identy and wouldn't give me theirs. They could have been drug deals or theives for all I knew. Why should I cooperate with an unknown entity or volunteer info?

I was buying a car from credit acceptance i had a car accident and all i owed them was 3500. I sent them 1000 when i got money from the accident. They sued me for 2500 i set it up with their lawyer and paid a 100 a month. I paid them 1500 and lost my job and couldnt pay them anymore. They have tried to sue me twice for the same 2500 that i was paying on. How many times can they sue me?

I received a call from this debt collector for my closed, incorporated business. Do I have to pay for this personally? The company is closed with no available cash.

I received a call from these two numbers and I don't recognize them, so I didn't answer. They claim to be from Lombardo, Davis, and Goldman Firm when they left me a message. Can someone please inform further in regards to this firm and what they are all about. I greatly appreciate it.

Hi, I am in NY and have gotten in a mess with payday loans. I currently have 5 payday loans out -- all internet based.

I am trying to settle a CC with a balance of 15K with Suntrust, and am having no luck getting it below 60% of the total amount owed. I've written two letters and faxed them in but both have been responded by the same letter, offering me 60%. I've settled with BofA for 25% on a 36K cc, and AMEX at 60% of 15K. I cant afford to pay suntrust 60% and I need them to get to 25 or 30% before it makes sense. Anyone had any success or dealings with Suntrust before??

Hi all, Need some advice as to how to handle my current issue... Long story short, a student loan that I *thought* was consolidated along with my other ones turns out...wasn't. It's not a HUGE amount, but not the kind of money I just have lying around, and I would like to know that the CA (PentaGroup) even has claim to collect for the original creditor. It all began when my boyfriend got a call from them asking where I could be contacted. Keep in mind, this was the FIRST I'd ever heard of these people. No letters, calls, or anything from PentaGroup or even the original creditor.

I got a call from a number that showed up as '786-786' ... It was a foreign person who I could barely understand. He said something about a lawsuit against me and that they would like contact my attorney. I have no clue what it was about but I think it must be some kind of scam related to payday loans i had years ago...any advice?

Can you negotiate with the law office collectors to get a discount on the debt, or do you now have to pay the full amount due?
