I have debt with capital one which was handed over to accept acceptance. The balance grew to a little over $1000 they said they would take $570 is thee anyway to get it lower?

My son recently paid off a debt, which he was scheduled to be garnished for. He received a letter stating debt was paid in full. But his wages are still being garnished. He gave a copy of the letter to his employer, but they say they can not stop garnishment without a court order. Also how do you get back the money you over paid

I am not denying I owe a payday loan, I have attempted to try to pay them in full but they had a 100 excuses why they could not get their money. Now they have a collection company trying to collect on it. they want an ACH and I do not want to give out my bank info ever again. Do I have to or can they do something else?

Hi- I recently had some payday loan out that are illegal in mystate of Arizona. I sent, emailed, and faxed letters to all company revoking ACH transactions on all of my person accounts and stated payday loan are illegal in Arizona. I closed the account in which these payday loan companies had access to and re-opened another account with the same bank. Well I checked my account this morning and a paydayloanyes.com debited my account $320. How would they get a hold of my new account information? They only had authorization for the old account in which was closed back in October.

I have an outstanding balance with Pallisades Collection LLC, however First National Collection Bureau notified me that I could close out my balance with Pallisades through them if I pay in full with them, which I did. I have an account number as well as a confirmation number. I have officially paid my debt in full on 9/16/2010, they never sent me documentation through mail stating I have "paid in full". It is now 3 months later and I have asked them to send me a statement of "paid in full" yet again, so that I may show this to my Mortgage Lender.

A creditor purchased a repossession loan I had 10 yrs ago. Chrysler charged it off 5yrs ago. The collection agency NEVER served me court papers to appear & one of the documents they submitted has false information on it. EXAMPLE: a sworn affidavit saying they left court documents with my sister that lives with me. I don't have a sister that lives with me & my building is secured. I got the case continued to file a motion against them for that but my job has already started garnishing my paycheck. Can lawyers do that & get a way with it?
