I need help I have a letter from credit card collection company they will settle for $9200,00 I have no money, I have until 11/29 , what do I do???

The Statue of lemtichons on past due bills is 7 years in Ca. Thear trying to collect on old bill theay buy up for other crediters that are sometimes to old to collect on!!!!!!

Hello, Sorry if this has been asked before. I did a search, and the one answer that came up for me didn't really answer my question. I recently pulled my credit report using Equifax and saw a few questionable accounts on there that I would like to find out more information about. Equifax does list the collection agencies that currently hold the accounts. However, the last 4 digits of the accounts are X'ed out. So, an account number appears something like this 8957XXXX. Do I need the full account number in order to start investigating this? Thanks for your help.

The VM did not state what it was about, or who it was about. I back tracked the number and called, I got an answer from some woman who hung up on me when I said to either tell me what the call was about and to whom specifically or don't call again. Then I ended up here. This is November 23, 2010. Can I rip the heads off of the next caller?

After some time, I am now able to negotiate with these ppl. I have agreed to something on the phone with one of the reps but I do not feel comfortable providing account info. I've been asking for a written statement were terms are specified (I want to pay once for the amount we discussed) but I'm afraid that since they don't want to send me anything in written only after I pay that they would try to get more money from the acct.

I have ben called from First american solutions about a payday loan from 2006. They say they are going to care me to court if i dont pay them today. There number is 877-204-5774. I live in NC and they say the payday company is 10 dollar, Help me please

I was fortunate enough to defeat Pressler & Pressler in court. Approximately 10 days later I received a letter from "New Century Financial Services" (Pressler & Pressler's front company) stating that the court documents I filed contained "errors" in spite of the fact that a judge and clerk agree my papers are in order. Pressler & Pressler is a desperate company that will stop at nothing to bilk you out of your money. Contact the Federal Trade Commission, FBI and Postal Inspector if these "people" approach your for payment.
