Refunds are possible, they take time and hard work on your part. So far I have received a refund from Great Sky Cash and not only did they send me a PIF letter, $625.00 refund, plus another $92.50. The $625.00 came via check and the $92.50 direct deposit before my bank account was closed by the FDIC. I would never accept a refund from any PDL direct deposit because they are trying to get your new bank account information. I may not have as good of luck with the 2 illegal lenders out of the country but I continue to try. Hard work, plays off!

I couldn't find a letter tailored to the collection of payday loans by a third party. I received the Dunning Letter and have now written the Validation letter. I am sending it today certified/return receipt. If you'd like to make suggestions, feel free.

A little background. I am in PA, I secured my account, sent letters, and got a response from one of my lenders who I overpaid by $250.00 They did give a PIF, but declined the refund. A week later I sent another letter demanding the refund again and got the same PIF letter in return. This week I sent a new letter containing stronger language and enclosing copies of my AG and DOB complaints and I filed with the BBB. This time I got a response telling me that my request is being referred directly to the lender and they will contact me. What do you think that means? Is it a good sign?

Ok. I am recently divorced and have too much debt.. I pay 410 monthly on a 7 year, 25,000 balance on a line of credit at a 7.99 interest. and approx 130 monthy on a 6500 dollar balance on my credit card. i also recently borroew from my 403 b and am paying that back out of my paycheck at 113 a check.. I want to pay checksmart a 3year old loan, I had been getting loans from them for some time and my account was closed due to a overdraft and of course there check was returned to them on a closed account. I heard from them a couple of times after that but havent heard from them again.this was 3 years ago. well as soon as I get my taxes I want to send them a money order for the loan plus extra to take care of intrest and thinfs like this but I dont want to call and talk to them cause corporate is a you know what.

How will this bill, signed into law on June 21, 2010, effect us who had loans prior to it being signed into law?
