can you tell me some debtconsolidation books

A PDL I defaulted on was able to debit a $401.00 payment today. When I closed the Account, I asked the Branch Manager would any type of debit be allowed. She said no, to which I asked again, and she assured me no. All debits would be returned! Today she called and said a debit is pending in the amount of $401.00. It has not gone through yet, and she is not sure she can stop it. I am totally in shock! The Account is closed, why would they pay a debit of this amount, any amount, on an Account that has been closed and has no funds?

Has anyone in Pittsburgh, PA heard of or used The J. Murphy Firm? They offer to represent you in court when a cc company files a claim against you. Please let me know if anyone has any input.

I was contacted by a "debt collector" Eltman & Eltman and cooper stating my salary will be referred for garnishment on Sept. 2, 2010. On Sept. 15, 2010 another letter comfirming my who my employer was. On Sept.30 ,2010 stating they have requested verification of my employment. I had to start paying the bills. So I decided to send a SOL letter on Sept.27,2010 which in Tennessee is 6 years on open account.

i pulled 2 of my credit reports and i need one more ei. equifax for experian my question is none of the payday loans are on them i know there is another credit bureau that should have that info can anyone tell me who that ma be and how would i be able to get a report from them if possible.

I filed for bankruptcy back in 2004 and RJM keep sending me notices to settle with them for an account that was closed then. Is that legal?

CACV of Colorado sued my mother in 2006 for a repossessed vehicle. Since she did not have any money to pay these people, she did not appear in court and as a result, a default judgement was entered against her. She just recently learned that CACV of Colorado has a lien on the title of her home, and we'd like to attempt to reach some type of settlement with these people to have the lien removed.
