I had a loan with this company and fell behind on it. My bank account for them is closed, and I just recently heard from a 3rd party collector for tyhem by the name of Hoffman Swartz & Associates, Inc. I tried to look up MMG in my state (Illinois) and could find nothing. The 3rd party collector is now making an arrangement for me to pay 2 installments of $150.00 ea, then a final payment of $250.00.

Had an account with Company X. Today the balance is $0, charged off and appears to have been purchased by Arrow Financial. If Arrow Financial purchased the debt, are both groups legally able to report the debt to the credit bureau?

Midland Funding LLC has Put a lien against my checking accounts. Midland Funding LLC has garnished or filed a levy against my checking accounts for Double what my original credit card debt was. My Wife and I are both on social security disability and this was the only money in both our accounts. Midland didn't give us written notice before taking this action as is required by our state law, the statute of limitations in our state is 5 years on credit card debt and this is a credit card we defaulted on over 6 years ago, plus the fact that they are not supposed to be able to take our social security income.
