i got a call from a ms.Adams who works for security credit systems she was very rude i sent her a debt validation letter and all i got back was a letter stating this debt was from 15 yrs ago not sure how she got my work number here as i have been at my current job for only 7 years they say i have 48 hours to pay or further action will be taken what else can they possibly do this debt is so old and only 350.00 why they are harrassing me now i have no clue.

I just wanted to share some positive news. I requested a copy of my Chexsystems report. I saw that my prior bank had reported me for NSF activity (I don't know if I agree with that) and ATM abuse and account abuse (which was false and a fabrication). I sent in their reinvestigation form and finally got work back today. Both the ATM abuse and the account abuse were taken off.

Arrow Financial is the plaintiff on an account that a collection attorney has filed against me for. I sent the collection attorney a request for validation of debt but they did not respond. It is now 31 days since the collection attorney received my certified letter. I am ready to file a motion to dismiss and have it prepared. I know how to file it with the court but how does the collection attorney get a copy of the motion?

I need some help with my last two PDL's. I started with 4 and have had success getting PIF from QXL and Loan Point USA. I now have Lakota Cash and Starcash Processing to deal with. I have paid all the principal with some interest on each of these. I have not been focusing on refunds just the PIF. The refund really wouldnt be enough to fight for, My account is closed and I haven't heard from Starcash and I have received my first email from Lakota. I have filed all my complaints and I am ready to fight. I would love to know any success anyone has had with either of these.

does debt consolidation hurt your credit?

We are at the 90 day or close (within next 2 weeks) with all of our accounts. The waiting has been so nerve wracking. Anyway today in the mail we received an offer on each of my 2 Chase accounts saying they will settle for 70% of the balance. Our plan is to call them Monday and offer about 20% (a round # a bit higher than 20%) and see where that takes us. Balance on the 2 cards is $14,700.. I have my fingers crossed and feel good that we are starting these talks. Any advice or anything I'm not thinking of? Thanks! Debt in the distance!

just recieved a letter today from Weltman, Weinberg saying they have been retained by Chase to collect my debt....I will send out DV letter but wanted to know if anyone has delt w/them recently and offer any advise?? i.e have u settled and for what %... Thanks!!!
