Mrs. Southerngirl, I have contacted our collections department and instructed for your account to marked as ‘Satisfied in Full’. The account now has a zero balance. No further payment is due on this account. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you and enjoy your day, I had paid all the principal plus some interest. Do you think this is the end with them? I'm always on my guard these days.. What do you think?

We are at the 90 day or close (within next 2 weeks) with all of our accounts. The waiting has been so nerve wracking. Anyway today in the mail we received an offer on each of my 2 Chase accounts saying they will settle for 70% of the balance. Our plan is to call them Monday and offer about 20% (a round # a bit higher than 20%) and see where that takes us. Balance on the 2 cards is $14,700.. I have my fingers crossed and feel good that we are starting these talks. Any advice or anything I'm not thinking of? Thanks! Debt in the distance!

This company along with others hire a company known as 'global contact services' to call their customers. They then demand and attempt to sell 'insurance and other services' not needed nor wanted by customer. Then they charge their credit card with enormous monthly fees.. This is a federal crime.. But no one will assist the customer.. Suggestions!?!

Need to sell our house which will result in negative equity, which I have coverage from my company. We have a judgment issued against my husband from Zwickler & Assoc. We tried to settle for 50%, but they are insisting on 80%. We need to get a release of lien ASAP in order for us to sell our house. They are saying they only have a lien for garnishment not a lien on the house. Title company won't clear the judgment. Any suggestions?

Hello all. I took a few classes from the scam artists known as University of Phoenix. I dropped my two classes after a few weeks and the school notified me that they had returned my federal loan in full and that I had to pay $2210 in full immediately. I sent them a dispute letter and within days they turned me over to a collection agency. This collection agency (Reliant) left a message with a co-worker with a phone number to call them back. The person from collections also said if I had any question I could speak to the woman who does payroll for my company.
