I am on SSD. Do I have to send a copy of my Awards Letter as proof to the debt collector? THANKS AND MAKE IT A GREAT DAY

Hello, I had a B of A credit card account for many years and after falling behind with them, my account was sold to this unheard of collection agency that poses as a law firm, John. P. Frye, which is located in Virginia. I had been on a payment plan with B of A for over two years, but fell behind because of being on unemployment and other financial issues. I actually called them quite a few times to explain my situation and see if they could lower the monthly payment, but they were not helpful and just told me to try and catch up.

I always have to reply by 6 pm or they are taking me to court. Has anyone actually been taken to court. I sent them a Certified Letter to provide me with all the pertinent information so I could find representation. They refuse to send me that stuff. Help?

Hunt & Henriques(a collection agency) is suing me for Citibank. I just called the Citibank and they told me that my account is with collection agency, Hunt & Henriques and I need to talk to them and not with Citibank. I've already answer their summons and asked for statements, contracts, etc. Hunt & Henriques sent me copies of my statements and "Declaration of Plaintiff in lieu of personal testimony at trial" signed by somebody at Citicorp Credit Services, Inc, the servicing agent for Citibank.

FYI on the collections department from MoneyMart. First of all if you ever have to deal with them you will realize that they really don't want to work with you on paying it off on terms that you can afford. So much for their in-store advertisement, "We value your business" Blah, blah blah. I made a payment to them last night for an agreed amount, and I also had a nice conversation with the store manager as well. She was the first to admit that the collections department was full of nasty and rude people and has received numerous complaints from store clients.

Well I have paid off and closed on 2 of my internet pdl's, but keep on receiving solicitations to take out more loans. NO Freeking Way! But I am being harassed several times a week with these emails. So I decided to respond to them with the following email. I requested refunds and stated that I would contact the Attorney General and Department of banking if I did not receive my refunds or if the companies contacted me in any way. Now what? I'm worried because my bank was unable to close my account because of one outstanding check.
