I got a call from Gary Becker from Finch, Pleviak & Associates telling me that there will be an affidavit filed by them and the Wisconsin States Attorneys office against me on monday for internet wiring fraud. I declared bk in 2009 and this debt was included, I am not even sure why he called if that was the case because he didn't want any money, but could fill out a stop action to see if they could not file and do a possible settlement. Seriously, this was making no sense.

I need some good advise! These guys have been harassing my family, friends, co-workers and myself over some debt that I know I owe. To make a long story short....I was victim to the instant hike in interest, even though I was paying over and trying to pay all debt off, without any opinion. I tried contacting my debt owners to work with them and they told me there was nothing they could do with me at that time. It's been about a year now and I've been getting the multiple phone calls to collect.

If I write a Cease and Desist letter, do these calls have to stop by law? Please help feeling bad for family. Also I have received nothing in the mail from them.

is this a debt collector who's working with a payday lender or maybe working with Chase looking for their money. i do not have it and will not talk to anyone who comes up on my caller id. Only will talk to my employer or friends

Can these payday lenders call your employer and speak to your supervisor if you default? I know they can obviously call me at work until I tell them to stop but I know a few applications I've filled out asked for my supervisors name. Can they speak to her? She's not the nicest person and I don't really want to get on her crap list because she finds out something like this.

i have a collection agency question..and never ending phone calls for a 15 year old debt that was for someone else that defaulted on the loan so the ca keeps calling the co signer on the 15 yo debt is there anything that can be done... they were told were the person that bought the carpet works and lives many times but still insists on calling the co signer everyday and sometimes twice a day
