So i settled with advance me today for a loan in collections and need to pay in 3 installments. My question is this, is it safe to pay with prepaid card? I asked if i can have terms in writing or confirmations after each payment and she said i will get paid in full letter after all payments are processed. Is this the way it usually works? Please help! Has anyone ever used Payday Loan Debt Assistance? I saw a thread where people had used PDL Assistance and Langhorn (?), so was just curious. I talked to them today and it seems that they can help but I'm still a little nervous. I am going to close my bank account though...and hope they don't re-open it when an ACH comes through like they did last time! Thanks, Karen

just settled with a AMX collector ( outside ) for $ 11,200.00 on a 22,000.00 debt. Answered their summons and paid 335.00 to the court for fees, which encouraged them to settle. No negotiated settlement before they filed in superior court. All in all I am satisfied.

After a few days of that, I had a voice mail saying if I stayed on the line, I was acknowledging who they said I was (scarily, they used my actual name). I wasn't home for that call, so I couldn't hang up if I wanted to. A few days after that call, I received a bill from AACC for $227.00 saying the original account was with Sunoco. First of all, I've never visited a Sunoco gas station.

So here it is. I have 6 PDL in NC. I put a stop payment through my bank and have emailed them the stop payment letter. Yesterday got a voicemail from national credit adjusters, called the guy back (John King) and informed him that my AG in my state stated that PDL are illegal. Then they told me that they would sue me for writing bad checks. I have already filed with the AG office FTC and BBB. One pdl told me that they will call anyone they want to according to the contract. So here is my question. Can NCA really take me to court for bad checks. They have already called my employer.
