So I have closed my bank account, sent off emails, faxed the letters, and certified letter have been sent to 500fastcash, and unitedcashloans. I have my wage assignemnet revocation letters ready to go to my payroll dept. Also have filed dispute with attorney general on 500fastcash and unitedcashloans. I have not heard anything from 500fastcash but they did block my account, however unitedcashloans still has it open and available. So my question is how long will it be before they email me back? It has already been two days and I gave them 48 hours to respond back to me.

Can someone help me in figuring out how to go about settling debt for my payday loans? I have a loan with Lakota Cash, PLS, The Cash Store, and Speedy Cash. The problem is, I fell on a few hard times here recently and my account is already overdrawn, and I can't afford to make even my minimum payments anymore. I am being charge almost 3 times the amount of my old debt. When I first was contacted by North Star and I asked them for a break down of the money owed they told me that they could not give me that information. Finally I caved after spending 140.00 through the court to demand that info. They then sent the breakdown only once I said I would try to work something out with them paying them 100.00 per month. I sent two payments and couldn't send the third.

I have a elderly relative in Kansas that took out a couple payday loans & can't pay back. This person is retired, has no home (rents), minimal assets, & lives of the Social Security check each month. This peson took the loans out, went to the casino & lost it all. They are now going to Gamblers Anomyous, but the prospect of paying back is very slim. This person might have $100 left over each month after rent, utilities, medical bills & food. The Payday loan collectors are calling 5 - 6 times a day and threatening criminal prosecution. Is it a criminal offense in KS?
