Hi there, I have a question, that I am hoping someone can answer. When I look at the PDL laws for Ohio- it indicates it is unlawful to loan more than $500. However, I have 2 storefront PDL that are $800-- and a loan from Cashnet ( internet) that is $1200. Do I have any recourse in settling these debts for the amount the law allows? I am not a dead beat, but need help in managing a helpless situation :( Thank you in advance!

I pulled all three of my reports and scores today. Here are the results: Experian: 546 Equifax: 562 Transunion: 524 I currently have 4 accounts in collections: Beacon Services: $630 (sending Pay for Delete letter on Friday) Anyone have any luck with this company or with Pay for Deletes? I have 7 paydayloans out at this time in NH, all thru internet based companies. I have paid well over the initial loan amounts in fees , how do I stop the PDL's from continueing to pull money from my bank account and consider the loans paid in full.

I am being sued by them for a 9400+ debt which is an incorrect amount. Moreover, they are representing Midland Funding which apparently bought the debt from someone who inturn bought it from someone who got it from Source Creditor. I filed my response to the suit as True for person residing in state, Unknown for everything and False for debt related. When I filed, the clerk told me the next thing is a pre-trial which is on Monday next week. What can I do with these junk debt buyers? I did offer settlement to the first buyer from the source back in the day over a year ago but they declined.

I live in Florida and have an internet payday loan with Pay Day Loans of America. The original loan amount was for $650 and I have paid over $2,700 in pmts and interest fees. I do not know if they are registered in FL, but they do allow roll-overs, which I have found out is illegal in FL. Since I have paid over 3 times the amount of the original debt, do I have the right to demand that they consider me paid in full? Do I have the right to demand a refund?

One of my accts was a BoA "Business" card they sent me pre approved. I dont have a business but I assumed that they had vetted me before sending me the pre-approval. I also thought it might be a good idea to start a small business. I never claimed on any of the paper work I had a business I just put my name down (no inc or llc or any business name).

I recieved at CA request to pay an old bill from 2001. Filled bankruptcy, and this creditor did not show up in court or file for repayment. This debt is not on my credit report. How should i respond? I will request a validation of the debt within before the 30 day period is over.
