I received a summons from a law office of Rory W. Clark on behalf of Midland Funding LLC. The summons claims Midland purchased an old debt from Washington Mutual. The debt is for $2800 but in recent conversation with the law frim the amount has interest and is now $3197. What can I do about this?

how can first bank of deleware make payday loans through Thinkcash and several other payday loans sites as a third party source? I have a loan with them and when I check my account I have to go through the Thinkcash,com site to access my account for first bank of deleware. I can't go through the bank website.

Hi Nelly, I've heard that once a debt is sold to a collection agency that the original creditor was paid because the debt is "insured" it's something called "loss prevention". With that being said how would i go about disputing a debt my dad and myself have been battling with this "private" student loan company. We have 7 loans with this company and totally unfair terms and they have sent our account to 5 different collection agencies, in the last 3 years and ive seen the inquiries from every last one on my credit report.

So I have been disputing for three months now with Experian and a collection agency Equinox collection services. For these three months I have sent debt validation letters to equinox to no avail. I still have not received anything back from the collection agency to validate this debt. So of course I dispute with experian who claims that the collections agency has marked the account under dispute under the FCRA and that is all they have to do.

Was perusing the DFI site in Washington State when I came across this little gem: http://www.dfi.wa.gov/CS%20Orders/C-10-167-10-FO01.pdf It's a final order against East Side lenders to cease and desist, banning them from lending here or collecting or causing to collect on any past loans given to WA residents, fines them, etc. Just thought I would share. I called Lowes to be put on a hardship, I figure if they all reduce payments or interest I can pay everyone. But the lady just seemed so nasty, I asked about hardship and she said to reduce payment or interest, I said whatever one you guys do to lower my monthly payments, Then rude lower payments or interest and I said either ne will lower payments I said I could afford $50 a month, and she said ok pay it within 10days and it will show on next statements! But they will close the account I have Cap one and Discover are they all the same? Or how should I move foward
