wage garnishment for bank acct write off

I got a phone call this morning from the "Bureau of Crime Investigations." The number came up as 1-320-056-745. The person with the heavy accent was supposedly named Mr. Gibson. I did, in a moment of weakness, apply for some payday loans earlier this year online. I never received any money. This person had my date of birth, the name of my bank, and would only divulge the last 4 numbers of my social, but they were correct which freaks me out. He had a date in April of this year, 2010, that I received money, supposedly $300 that had bloomed into $634 that I "owe" them now.

Can debt collectors send info to your employers to collect?

Ok, I may tackle My Cash Now this week along with Eastside. I have found some information about Mycash Now and CPD and have prepared a letter for William Reed Credit Protection Inc. WHat is the deal with My Cash now??? Where are they located and I am assuming that they are illegal right??? I have taken lots and lots of loans with them and enough is enough!

A collection agency (Nelson Watson) called my wife Friday and said they own her cc debt and they want payment NOW. They theatened to sue her, garnish my wages, basicly scared the hell out of her. They told her if she sends a payment (auto withdraw) from our checking account they won't sue. But now it is auto withdraw every month. I called them and offered a settlement but they wanted to settle for 90%. The debt is only $3600 Does anybody have any suggestions as to what I should do? I do not want them to have access to our checking account.

Can someone give me some suggestions on a few good honest debt settlement companies? Thank you Mike

I would like to get a free goverment personal loan

I am trying to repair some credit. I currently have a Discover Card that I am paying down and am in good standing. I have a Chase Card that was recently closed by Chase. I am paying down that balance and it is almost paid off. I just opened up a Household credit card (1 month ago), because I thought that I needed to open another one to repair credit. I have not charged anything, but it is open. Do I keep this card and use it monthly or do I close it ($39 annual fee) and just use the Discover for now???

I am in need of some advice. My boyfriend has a credit card with Washington Mutal (Chase), he has had this card for 6 yrs +. He lost his house and has been having troubles with this card.He owes $4,500. He has been making small payments, but they closed the account and sent it to collections. I just got the letter from the collection company friday, and received a call from them friday. For one they spoke to me about the debt and we are not married, second they told me they spoke to my boyfriend which they had not.

I owe around 10,000 in credit card debt and would like to find the best credit card consolidating company that has a high rating with BBB. I do not know who to trust. Can you make any suggestions?
