Anyways have settled FIA/BofA combined debt is nearly $80,000 between the 2 cards and they finally settled last month for 20% over 4 payments. I am done. I settled chase in May, Advanta in May and went on a Harship plan with another card that wouldn't budge so I am not going to fight anymore. Our debt we have left is manageable AND our dang home loan mod finally went thru as well so onto a better future.

Hi. I have 4 payday loans on which I am only making the interest payments now for the past 2.5 months. I have a good salary but I see almost a third of it swallowed up by this! I have other expenses such as rent, food and medicine plus 2 major purchases bought thru HSN and QVC which swallow up another third each month. I have been foolish! Since I did not work for a really long time I was told that my IRS debt will not catch up with me until they get wind in Jan 11 that I have been working and will start pursuing me for payments.

How can I find out if this is a junk debt buyer? They are located in West Trenton, NJ. I'm working on a pay for delete letter - I only owe $163 on this debt, but if they are junk debt buyer I'm thinking of pointing out that I am aware they are a junk debt buyer and will therefore only pay $82.50 - 1/2 of what is owed because as a junk debt buyer it's very likely that they paid much less than $163 to own the debt. I have a internet PDL, location is Panama. Upon learning they are illegal in my state (IL) I decided to close my checking account & open a new one so they can't take more than they are entitled to. However, I did so prematurely as I had not yet made my 1st payment. I wrote to inform I know they are illegal and I only owe what they borrowed me and I will only discuss in writing via email, but they did not respond. At first they emailed me constantly to say my acct was delinquent & I need to contact them ASAP, but responding to email address reults in "undeliverable" emails.

I'm inrolled in a 18 month program with Elite financial services Phone # 866-922-0040 Saugus, MA. I think they suck , I was tolded by them that everything was going to be fine, then I got hit with a wage garnishment for a medical bill that they said, there taking care of it. Thanks for nothing, I don't know if I should still stay with this company or get out, after seeing that this happens to other people not just me. By the way, they only negotiatied and settled 2 of 7 of my debt settlements. Wouldn't mind some helpful advice from some real people.
