#1 I received a summons from Daniels Law Offices to file an answer for civil suit for Midland Credit. Original Creditor was Citi. I want to settle this but how should I go about it. Last Nov i sent a DV and it took them until March of this year to get back to me and all they sent were printouts of a couple credit card statements?? is that sufficient proof in Mass that they have the right to collect?

I received a notice today from the sheriff that an execution has been recorded on my home for a judgement in Favor of Atlantic Credit. The original creditor was HSBC. The judgement is for $5100. Anyone know if they will settle for less than that? I can access $3000 in the next 30 days but not the whole amount. I live in Mass. Oh and can they sell my property if I don't pay it?

i have about $4000 in delinquent credit card debt. what is the best way to get rid of it?

I googled phone number of this company and my own name after receiving a very rude call from them. It's obvious the company pushes the law but how do I find out what they are accusing me of owing? I have never received a statement and they won't tell me anything unless I tell them my full name, address, SSN and birthdate. If I owed someone, wouldn't they have that info already? There are too many thieves running scams so I won't give out my information just because someone asked for it.

I received correspondence from Chase Bank that I my card was maxed out and they had not received payment for some time. Apparently, my wife maxed out this card and decided not to inform me or pay the bill (second card w/discover she did the same but this card is not closed and I have been making payments to it as well). The balance was over 10k and I began making payments about 5 months ago and the amount owed is now a little over 3k. Even though I was making these payments Chase closed the account. They said it has been reported to the credit bureaus, but is not a charge off.

Has anyone settled with Merrick Bank Credit Card or have you let it go to a collection agency. I am 6 months past due and I have not spoken with them yet. One is because I do not have the funds to settle. I am wondering which way to go and if anyone has had an experience with them. Thanks Jane

i got 23,000 on $13.50 job....due to umemployment, no one has recieved payment since nov, 09....i got a job 3 days ago and start wed... the cc are probably written off.....i have thoughts of doing debt settlement myself, talking to them, and making offers on settlement when i can,,,,it will take about a yr if i can get everyone to accept 40%.... is this a good idea, ????

I would like to know if I have 4 credit cards and I am behind on payments at least 90 days on 1 of those cards, does my credit score go down for only the one card I am late on? Basically, if I am late on 1 or late on 4 of my credit cards does my score go down per each card I am late on. I appreciate any info on this. Thank -you.
