Hi all, My employer just informed me that he received an 'Oder of Withholding from Earnings' from a federal student loan I have. I have gotten other notifications from the CA before, but did not receive the 30-day notice from them regarding wage garnishment. I have a few questions...as I understand it, I can only get out of wage garnishment after 9 months, and that is with paying above and beyond the wage garnishment amount. That true? Also, is there any recourse on my end that I can take considering I never received the 30-day notice? Can I appeal?

Greetings: I like others here am seeking advice. I confess upfront to having had a financial emergency, and used REALLY BAD judgement. I live in Massachusetts and used online PDL's to help me out of the hole. Of course I have dug myself deeper. That said I am being sucked dry by fee's etc... you folks know the story and the drill. So here I am and I need help.... Some of these loans I have made payments on have already gone above the actual loan amount, others not at all. i had a pay dayloan from a company called sagamore.when i get in over my head i wrote them a letter that they were illegal in minnesota. i had borrowed $250. now its been turned over to acollection agency..they just called me at work(i didn't get the name of the collection agency.).but now they say i owe $450.00 what should be my next step?

I continue to get cell phone calls from this company (MRS) -- and I'm not even the person they are looking for. They are leaving a message that inquires if I am Michelle (last name withheld). I've called the number that is initiating the call. After speaking to a curt employee in New Jersey, I was assured my phone number would be eliminated from their call list. That has not happened. Any advice?

anyone hear of Shamrock Marketing LLC and are they related to Emerald Marketing Group? I found where I took a loan and was provided proof of the loan but I paid the minimum back and now trying to clear up but they say cc vendor not working out to send them a western union payment. i feel this is not "real".
