Back in 2005 we made a big mistake and took out a loan from Bank of America for $37000 and used it to pay off all of our debt. It was a term deal where we paid $780/month for 96 months (it seemed like a good idea at the time, as our debts were over $1000/month). The interest rate is now 20.99% on this loan. I have paid about $47k to them (never late either) over the 1st 60 payments and still owe $24K that should be paid up in 3 more years. Ugh!

I've been unemployed since Dec. of 08 and after exhausting the spare money I had keeping up with my credit card bills I was left with nothing but unemployment which is just enough for me to may my rent, essential bills and eat. I got a letter from the Moore Law group saying that they are going to sue me on behalf of one of my creditor. I called them to see what I might be able to do but they refused to budge saying that the only thing I could do was to set up a payment schedule that would be FAR more than I can afford. The debt is legit, I just can't give them what they want.

Greetings all, I found this website on Monday after searching for a way to get out of payday loan hell. I decided to follow the advice found on the site and sent out cease and desist letters to all 10 loan companies. Today I received replies from 2 companies, one is reviewing my letter and options and the other said that they are willing to write off my loan.

I'm not sure what to do here. Back in '08 I signed a contract with a facility called Massage Envy. You pay $59 a month for a 1 hour massage and its automatically billed to your credit card. I fulfilled a one year contract. After fulfilling the contract I was in a car accident that required shoulder surgery and prevented me from working. Due to the surgery I could no longer have massages and due to not being able to work, I could not afford $59 a month. I called the facility to explain this to them and they said no problem that they would cancel the contract.

I made a payday loan that soon turned into seven. I cannot make payments on all of them and I am going under fast. is there fast help out there?

how do you find out who (the collection agency) you owe money too?
