This group has been calling me three times a day, starting at 8:05 am and continuing until after 8 p.m. After tenants ran up the gas bill and didn't pay it, the account was turned over to CBE because I missed a month's payment I made the next month's payment, but they continued to call. I told them I'd made a payment and they said okay, they'd stop calling, but they didn't. I talked to someone else and told HIM I'd paid. He said he's stop calling.

I am applying for a VA Home Loan and I've been approved. As part of the process the loan officer told me I have a collection account on my Equifax Credit Report from LVNV Funding for roughly $3,500 for a Sears Card. I contacted Sears and gave them the account number that was on my credit report and they stated that account was not in my name or my social and that they have no record of my name or social on any account. They told me LVNV Funding was a debt collection agency.

I am from PA outside of Philly and have just received a court summons from Apothaker and associates for a debt in the amount of 2K. Should i go to court? This debt is over 4 yrs old and the only info they gave me about the debt was the amount, my name, and that it was from HSBC??

I just got off the phone (for the second time this today) after speaking with the most rude people I have ever encountered. They would ask a question, then not wait for an answer, but continue speaking as though I had told them to "get lost." When I would ask them, "Please let me speak," I was told, "No. You stopped paying on this and I want to know what you intend to do about it." Well, if you would let me speak, I would tell you! The first person I spoke with was a woman who told me that I must be being too "picky about what job I want because I can make more money on unemployment"!!!

OK just a thought to ponder... I have had a couple PDL's claim that since they are on the web then technically I have entered into their state when applying for my loan. Under that assumption, then when they contact me via phone to make an offer of settlement then are they not then entering into KY to do business with me. In that case then the laws of KY would have to apply correct... Just a thought to ponder. I wonder how it will fly if I try and use that the next time they call.. hmmmm

we had 2 discover accounts sent to zwicker back in march 2010. after calling them asap to find out who the creditor was (letter showed dfs), i went off, as the accounts were current! we had signed on with a DS then within 48 hours cancelled the DS plan. with the 48 hours DS sent out letters to creditors when we were not considered legally in ds until they received a payment (which we had not done). that was in dec 09 with the ds. then we didnt hear about discover going to z&a until march? the accounts should never have been sent to collections.

The office just called me. I am in IL and they said internet loans are just like you went to there state and got the loans. So whatever you signed it is what it is and has to be paid. Interest and all. This doesnt make much sense to me. Still gonna fight it with them though.

Is this ideally what we want or is there something better that I can negotiate?

I had a call from CFG & Associates stating that they are collection on a payday loan I received in March 2009 from PDL Ventures. They state that I owe $337 and gave me a "case number" and said that if I do not want to pay this debt then they will continue with legal action. I'm a full-time student and on my own. I REFUSE to give out my routing and account numbers to anyone. They said I could make three payments of $112 by credit or debit card. I haven't received anything in writing from this company and this is the first I have heard of them. Does anyone know anything more about them?

Hey all, I have some debt that I can't get out of. Right now I have 3 credit cards that are all maxed due to the banks cutting my limits. On the 3 cards i owe around 12k. I also have a personal loan with about 5k on it. I have had these cards for a while and have not missed a payment, but they are pretty much minimum payments and they are not getting me anywhere. My home us 40k underwater so I can't pull any equity out there and my cars are both newer with high payments.
