I have a judgement against me and I want to know if they can take my car? I own it outright. My boyfriend and I are both on the title. Is my car safe or can I loose it?

First, I live in Ohio. I have several pdls internet. I know 5 are illegal to do business in Ohio. They all went into default July 9. I overpaid a few of them and with the CD letter, I asked for refunds and pif letter. As of today, I have not heard one thing from any of the pdls except for 1 that is legal to do business in Ohio. I have filed complaints with OH Attorney General's office on the illegal companies. It is normal not to hear from the companies? I sent them all a letter again last week asking for refund/pif letters, but still nothing.

I DO owe an amount to Sears, I disputed $300 of a 1200 bill with them. They did nothing to fix it. So I quit paying for a while then a new rep promised to help so I sent in a token amount, they again did nothing and turned me over to UCB. I AM NOT trying to be a deadbeat. I DO want to pay what I owe, but no more and can't pay off in full now. I have had several harrassing phone calls from them, was sent a privacy notice but NOTHING else. They even called my grown daughter who lives with her husband!

I'm trying to work out payment plans for several pdl's that I have. My checking account was closed and I actually contacted several of them after the fact to set up arrangements to pay. Some have been more willing that others and some have been threatening.

Hi Received a summons for an account that had been in collections for 4 years and I thought a collection agency bought as I receive collection calls everyday. The account is Arrow financial and was for 7,000 and now in the summons says it is $9,990 I did try going thru a debt settlement company a few years ago and they just took my money and did not pay creditors. I am not sure what to do about this and I have 20 days to respond. I have another account in collections also. Is debt management something that could help or another legitimate settlement company?

If someone plans to file bankrupsy and they want to have a debt discharged that they owe to a friend, and they have nothing in writing like a note, what do they need to do this? I ask because a person that owes me a large sum of money, I believe is planning on filing bankrupsy,and lately they are pressing to set up a promissary note between us for the amount they owe me. They want to suppy the promissary note. How do I protect myself? Thanks Ms Crystal
