I have contacted credit answers and they are all set up to start taking money from my bank account. Is this a good way to settle my credit card debt?

I have several pay day loans on which i have been paying for several months now. I can not even pay some of my other bill. It has become overwhelming. Is there a trusted pdl assistance company i can use. I have loans with idealgelt, pay day one, pay day max, sure advance, and cash net, also i have one with fdbl they are all on line pay day loan companies. How do i find out if they are legal or not. Please help.

I'm sorry if this question has been answered in the forums before; I tried to search for similar topics but couldn't really find anything. I made a HUGE mess with multiple payday loans back in the summer of 2008 and I haven't made any effort to pay any of them back, until now. And now that I'm finally trying to fix the damage, I can't remember which lenders I borrowed from or how much I borrowed from each.

We're about $50K in debt on credit cards (they just got away from us over the years) and are embarrassed to have to seek debt settlement. But, our monthly payments are killing us (we're able to pay but there's nothing left for anything else) and it will take us 30+ years at this rate to pay everything off. I don't know who to trust. I have a debt settlement company trying to get my business, but how do I determine if they're not a scam?

It's a fraud company.....verify you Social Security number b/c chances are RJM would contained a random number.

Alright, I know that if a debt collector calls your answering machine, and leaves a message like "If you are not John Q. Customer, please hang up now...", that theya re breaking the law..... But what if they do not identify the person they are calling for? What if they just say "This is ABC, we are a collection agency and this call is an attempt to collect a debt. Please return our call to !-800-blah blah blah"....is that also a violation? I would think so, because they have identified that they are calling your house about a debt to anyone that could hear the message.
