I live in IL and have 2 payday loans out. Now I am reading here that if the companies are not licensed in IL they should not have loaned me money and by law I only have to pay back exactly what I borrowed. This is Fast & Reliable and My Cash Now. Where do I go to find out of they are licensed to do business in IL? At first I was able to pay these loans back over a 3 month period, but my financial situation has taken a turn for the worse and now I can barely pay the principle each month.

Has anyone here received a settlement offer for a Chase account via FMA Alliance? I'm just wondering if it's legitimate or would it be a big mistake? Pickles

USBank branch that I bank with could not assist me....I am on the road for another 10 days and cannot walk into a branch anywhere I go. What other options do I have and shall I send them a fax requesting ACH block to their ACH department??? They were telling me that I need to speak to the manager but that sounded "if"y as well. More so they suggested I call the individual companies and request the ACH taken off.

This month has been the first time that I had to take payday loans. I have one storefront loan and 2 internet loans. Payday consolidation companies have told me that I need a minimum of 3 internet loans. The total amount is $1060 and that also seems too minimum for consolidation. Is there a payday loan consolidation company that can help me? I am very concerned about making my payments as other bills have cropped up for next month.

How do you research to find out if an internet company is licensed in your state? I check a couple of my agreements and there is no address for the company. I live in RI

If you're being sued by a JDB and they have called inappropriately or said something in the conversation they shouldn't have said, yet you did not have advance warning and did not record the call - can you still use that as a counterclaim? And should you use that as a bargaining chip to hopefully get the case dismissed "with" prejudice or how should their violation be used? Or would it be better to let go of the unrecorded violation and stick to the facts and hope to just at least get a dismissal "without" prejudice (maybe before court) due to the JDB not having proof of the debt?
