ACP Law Firm-716-478-4951

12 years 1 month ago
Good Morning, I just received a call from 716-478-4951 from someone named Daniel Desario from ACP which is a "litigation" firm out of New York. He said he was in the receipt of 2 complaints that are in his office and will soon be turned to the county. He didnt say where the complaints were from/for on the voicemail. After doing a search, I couldn't come up with anything on this ACP company-I searched the forums, and it looked like there was one other post from ACP-is this another bottom feeder? Just curious if anyone had any information on this company before I decided to call back.

Spotloans?

Does anyone know if Spotloans is a legal lender in Illinois. On there website it gives a Illinois address but it's a PO BOX. but on the bottom of the website it reads, Spotloan℠ is a brand owned by BlueChip Financial, a tribally-owned entity organized under and governed by the laws of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians of North Dakota, a federally recognized Indian Tribe. BlueChip is located on and operates within the Tribe’s reservation. I searched the Licensees data base but no results.

Is it a smart move to sell house and buy a new one?

12 years 1 month ago
I am currently staying in a nice apartment in Haleyville, Alabama. I have paid off almost 70% of the mortgage. However, I have to drive for around 3 hours to reach my office. I'm very much tempted to sell my apartment and buy a new house in a better location. Is it a smart move? I will retire in 2014.

Should I try to settle the debt with $9000?

12 years 1 month ago
I have 5 credit cards. I owe $24,000 on the credit cards. I have stopped making payments on the credit cards since the last 2 years. I have set up a payment arrangement with a debt collection agency from Hartford, Alabama. I'm paying $30 to the collection agency for the last 1.5 years. In the meanwhile, I have saved $9,000. What should I do at this situation? Should I settle the debt? Should I file bankruptcy?

MNE aka USFastCash

12 years 1 month ago
Does anyone know if any recent issue that caused MNE not to be able to debit my checking account for payment? $600 loan taken out in July, paid first payment of $180 no problem, then got the email below. It is not an issue with my account or bank, and when I call they say they cannot talk about it but the extended repayment plan is no longer an option (nevermind the contract I have that spells out the payments and dates) and they are now wanting payment in full or larger payments that we cannot do.

Judge Rules that NY can regulate lenders with Tribal ties

I was trying to keep up with what going on in court with the Tribal Lenders.. this is one article I found!!!! http://www.americanbanker.com/issues/178_190/n-y-can-regulate-lenders-with-tribal-ties-judge-rules-1062523-1.html A federal court has ruled that state regulators have the authority over online lenders that operate from Native American land. The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York ruled Monday that the state can block payday lenders from making loans to state residents even when loans are originated from offices on tribal land.
