Hi my daughter has defaulted (for lack of a better term) on her large sallie mae loan. Allied Interstate has been callinf and just yesterday she spoke to them and made a payment plan. However now she is afraid it is a scam. Could it be? She certainly does owe a debt and she does want to pay it. BVut she is afraid that she may have made a mistake in authorixzing the auto withdrawal from the bank, please give me some advice...quick! Thank you

what is a pre-legal account? I have tried to make a payment plan that would be within my means with Redline Recovery. The payment plan they want to give me is very high 400-500 dollars which is not within my means. When I tell them they are not willing to work with me they say that my account is a Pre-Legal account and they are going by the payment standard for a Pre -Legal account. They are very rude on the phone and harrasing to take me to court. Is there anything I can do? I ended the call by telling them to send me an invoice of what I owe and that I will get back to them.
