I do not know where to begin, I feel like we are going to lose everything. We are behind on our car payments and credit car payments and it seems like every month we are "robbing Peter to pay Paul" and in the process we are falling farther behind. What is the appropriate way to being working with our creditors so we do not lose everything?

i need help i got 16,000 in debt how do i get out of debt?

I just went and closed my bank account in NJ and just opened a new one @ the same bank, they assured me the PDL's could not get into my new account. What is my next step? Do I print out and figure out how many payment's I made to each loan and if there is a difference in the balance I owe just send it to them via mail (check or bank check or money order?). Also, will they give me a hrard time if I tell them by law I am paid in full with all of the fees I have already paid that they did not put towards my loan? Just looking to find out what my next step should be. Thanks

The Senate approved the Financial Reform bill today! This bill will provide a Consumer Financial Protection Agency that will oversee Mortgages, Credit Cards and, yes, Payday Loans! I am going to take a wait and see approach to this but I think regulation of the predatory lenders, a group that many, but not all, of of these lenders belong, will put many out of business! Many lenders have said that regulation will make it impossible to operate! This, in my opinion, is absurd! I think what they are really saying is that it will make it difficult for them to rake in money and hide it overseas!

I need to know specfically, can an collection agency posing as a law firm, leave the debtor's social security number on an answering machine other than the debtor's? ex. leaving on his mother's answering machine Joe's name, his social, and a call back number with an extention and how time is of the essence that Joe get back in touch with them. (and NO Joes doesnt live there, he is in another town/state) thanks!

I sent out all of my "Illegal Lender" lettes to PDL's. Most have left me alone or given me paid in full letters. However Sagamore is the only one that i actually still owe money to. I borrowed $250.00 and made 2 payments of $75.00. Under my law in Illinois all i owe is the additional $100.00 towaards principal. I received the following email this morning and now i am unsure what to do? I know that i do still owe the $100.00 i just am not sure how to get it paid off?
