When you hire any of these companies to represent you, and you are in a payment plan, that is comprised of the estimations on past "performance standard" based on the average negotiated amount that the Company(ies) have calculated the amount of the debt anywhere form 40% to 60%, sometimes claims of 75%. What happens with the money that the client pays every month when the "negotiators" have been able to dismiss the debt, using the F.D.C.P.A rules? Does the company give back the money? How do we know that the companies will even tell the clients that the debt was dismissed using legal methods

Hi, I have been to court 3 times now on the same debt...as soon as I got the letter from the laywer representing capital one I sent a letter asking them to validate the debt certified return receipt....They did niot respond. I sent a second one..they did not respond...The filed and we went to court... I told the judge I never received the validation..I was given at that time the credit card statements at on that court date and the judge continued to another date and order3ed the lawyer to provide me with any additional discovery.

Ok, so I'm a very curious person, and I always have a need to know how things work. I'm trying to figure out what the formula is that makes a CC sue one person over another? Are there any people on this board who have worked inside the industry that can shed some light on this subject? I also think this is a good subject of discussion. Some facts we do know about this. 1...It doesn't matter how much you owe.

I have private loans which I am paying on time so that's not the problem. The problem is a couple years ago I had a couple late payments so my credit is dinged and so is my co-signer (which I understand that it won't go away). Is there a way to get my co-signer off my loans? Or is he stuck being attached to me until the loans are paid off?
