A friend is being sued in Florida and when they answered the summons, they also put in counterclaims as the plaintiff pursued collections a few days past their receipt of the DV letter.
Now the plaintiff's attorney has sent in a general denial to the counterclaim as listed below. What needs to be done now or is this just their answer and it will be debated before the judge or does another motion or something need to be filed in rebuttal to their general denial of the counterclaim? Also, could someone explain their defense?
Hi, I need correct advice
I have unpaid tuition bill from pace U. NY dating back to sept 2002.
I did not pay because I dropped the course, unfortunately, Pace University does not agree with me. so after all these years, the best thing that they can do for me is to pay off in full which would be roughtly $3,600.
I tried to reason with them, which is not going through. What would be the best way to settle this?
Just wanted to share my experience with closing my BOA checking account. I called this morning and after going through the ridiculous amount of automated prompts, I finally got a customer service rep. She was really unable to assist me due to my "special" circumstances, but she did put me through to a "specialist".
The specialist was extremely helpful in setting up the closure of my account and putting stop payment blocks on the two ACH debits that will occur within the five day "processing period" for account closure. She even waived the stop payment fee for the two debits.
Is there any way I can have the garnishment reduced or even taken off.
Its for a department of education student loan and they are taking 15% of my paycheck as of now.
