I'm new here and had a question. I just stopped paying on two of my CC, one with Chase another with Cap One. Actually the Chase is about 100 day past and the Cap one is about 20 days. I've gotten an offer from Chase at about 70% a while ago but I'm going to call them on Tuesday and try to get 40%-50%. My question is this. When they made the offer they said they could only do 3 payments to settle. Has anyone been able to settle on a payment plan? I.E. more than a few months?

I have life threatening illness and on disability. I have a judgement against me saying I did not show up, but I had no letter saying I had a court date to go to

I had a collector call me the other day telling me that I owed a debt that I know I paid through the creditor. When i explained this to her she called me a liar and was really rude. About a week later I got a letter saying they investigated the matter and found it was paid and the case would be closed. Now my question is do I have a legal right to sue?
