I have a cashnetusa loan right now. I borrowed $950 on 5-24-10, I extended the loan on 6-8-10 and paid $237.50, It is due right now on 7-1-10 which they will deduct $254.58(it is an extension) and I'm afraid the money wont be in my account. The total loan is due7-13-10 for $1197.26 with 2 more extensions available. I know I shouldn't have got the loan but obviously we were feeling desperate and now my husband has lost his job which of course is why I'm having a hard time paying this back.

I have decided to stop making payments on my credit cards and try to make a settlement at some point in the future. My questions: 1) since I am current with payments, should i inform the credit card companies of my plan to reach a settlement , or just stop making payments and wait for the phone calls and letters. 2) Is it true that debt resolution lawyers are able to get better settlements , therefore worth the 15% they charge. 3) Does it make sense to keep making payments on some the cards with smaller balances and low rates to help with my credit rating 4) I have 3 cards with CHASE.

Is getting help from a payday loan consolidation a good offer?

My dad has having some serious financial problems: His income is around $1200 a month plus $400 social security, plus $500 a month from a person renting a room out of his house. He currently owes around $120,000 mortgage (Chase) on a house that is currently value at $140,000. Monthly payment is $1186. Interest rate 5.8%. Which he is now three months behind, and he is applying for loan modification now. He currently owes around $8700 on Chase credit card and $9000 Bank of America credit card.

Without prior notification, on a deferred interest account, jacked the interest rate up to 24.99$ and refuse to entertain any possibility for adjustment do not trust this bank...they are rip-off artists.

I also received a call from a guy (William Baker) saying he was an attorney with Ross and Crim and wanted me to settle a payday loan with them. Are they really legitimate? Does anyone know?
