I am in AZ and have loans with the following internet payday loan sites: Little Loan Shop: Loan for 500 Paid 1050 so far Mycashnow: Loan for 500 Paid 575.90 so far Redstone: Loan for 400 Paid 280.00 so far Eastside Lenders: Loan for 500 Extracash: Loan for 500 Unitedlending: Loan for 400 It's my understanding that I am only legally responsible for the principal amount of the loan. Is that correct? If so, what steps do I need to take to stop these places from debiting my account anymore? I am going to open a new account and have my direct deposit switched to avoid paying more than I need to.

What happens when you took out a loan and you are sure that the loan was paid in full and a someone (agent) calls you and tells you that you are being sued and they are on their way to arrest you and you are being charged with federal theft and demand you pay the amount they give you by the end of the day? Do the loan companies call you or serve papers to you if you are really in violation of not paying the loan back. What is that process????

I am homeless, no vehicle and have no income. I am defaulted on my student loan and wanted to know is there anyway that I can have my loan payment suspended until my financial situation changes? I have called the Student Loan Department, however, I was told that they could not help me. So that would mean that interest would continue to accrue. Is there anyway to get help? Thank you.

Just a bit of humor for all of you seeking loan mods... Just received a call from WellsFargo and was told that my financial worksheet needed to be reworked because my allowance for food at $600 per month was excessive. In discussing it, I broke it down with them that with a family of 3, that ends up being $6 per day per person. They insisted it was above the national average and I would have to lower it to be considered. So I told them we would go down to rice and beans at $5 per person per day. They said that would be better. 10 months....no modification or rejection.

I recently received a discharge from bankruptcy, it has not been a year yet, and I have fallen ill so I have not really tried to re-apply for a job yet. Before that bankruptcy, I had a stable job as lecturer at a community college, and I have gotten in so much personal issues and have fallen into debt, hence the bankruptcy. That was my one and only job after college it was pretty fine until it went wrong, now I'm just concerned about discrimination and prejudices. I am almost afraid to go out and find out for myself. Well I am doing it!! I have sent several of my PDL companies the letter revoking the ACH payments and explaining that I want physcial addresses to send the last little bit of principle that I owe them. As suggested I gave them 5 days to respond. What are the odds that I am going to hear something back in 5 days? I sent letters to Sure Advance, Integrity Cash Advance and Everest Cash Advance.
