If I am able to repay the loan in about 4 months then it isn't so bad is it?

I need some Help!...I got a letter from a Law Firm that I am being sued for an old Credit card..(Bofa)..It is on behalf of FIA and the law firm is Blatt etc....(In Illinois) I originally got the card in Calif and now live in Ill. Can they garnish my income if I am a 1099 employee?...Should I contact the law firm and try to work out a settlement?...Do I send the request for "Debt Validation now ?

Hello fellow PDL survivors and current deck hands. I too am drowning in PDLs. I'm in the state of Nebraska, and not quite sure as to where to begin. I have a contract with Langhorne Debit Solutions, but I feel as though my monthly payment to them (over $250 for their fees only) is only causing more stress and seeing no results from them. I've told them this too. Currently, I am on a suspended program with them, and considering calling the PLDs myself. However, I've been seeing in some posts here that some are illegal. How do I find out that information?

I was recieving 10-12 calls a day on my cell phone from Encore. I've been unemployed for over a year and my unemployment had just run out. I didn't answer because I just didn't know what to tell them. I have just enough money coming in to pay rent, power and phone. Finally I answered and made payment arrangements to cover my Old Navy bill. I hadn't used the card in over a year but other payments had to come first so my balance had grown. All three arranged payments have now come out of my bank account. I thought I was done.

Hi, I got a loan through atlasmoneyonline.com. I have sent them a letter revoking authorization from my account but have heard nothing. At this point who do I contact for Missouri and the processor to stop letting them get authorization from my bank account. From my understanding they aren't licensed in Missouri or the USA and they have been well over charging me and I think I have paid them enough. What emails are involved that I should email as well to revoke ach authorization to my regions checking account.

I need help. I have several store front, internet payday loans, and installments loans. I am way over my head and can't pay my bills. My checking account is overdrawn because the bank just keep putting through the charges. I can't close my account until I can zero out the account, but I'm over $500 in the hold!! I owe several thousand dollars to these loan sharks.

So this morning I received a call from an "officer" Shawn Taylor (Please don't take this the wrong way, but Shawn Taylor had a thick foreign accent and could barely pronounce his own name), threatening that I was going to be arrested at my "place of work" or "doorstep" on Monday, June 21st, 2010. As I have never received a threat like this before, I was obviously frightened. I immediately called back the number I was given and he told me that I could pay $502 to get the charges dropped.
