I have just received a call from national attorney's office trying to collect a debt from a pay day loan, which I do owe. He said, they had referred him with the case for legal reasons. Im not saying I won't pay its just right now I can't afford what their asking. I asked if he had my original checks, he said, no. I told him I would go to the main office here in san antonio, to find out why he doesn't have everything from my file. According to him they gave him my acct. number etc. What can i do to resolve this. thanks, rosemarie

We have a bill collector (we think that's who it is) calling our house at least once a day. They're looking for "Jennifer." We've told them no one by that name lives here and we don't know her and we've asked that they please stop calling us. Is there anything else we can do? I tried calling the number back, but the call doesn't go through. Any ideas on how to make it stop?

I tried telling the Rep about my hardship problems. At one point, Rep went nasty and basically accused me of making recent charges knowing I was financially burdened. I asked if he was accusing me of making fraudulent charges. Then the guy went nuts and was talking over me and lecturing me about how I made an agreement to pay Discover. I told him I did not have to listen this and said conversation is over and hung up. Will this guy at Discover flag my account for litigation or send it to collections immediately? It is only 45 days late.

My care was recently towed and i have no intrest in recovering it. The towing company is threating to have a lien placed on my drivers liscense??? can this be done?

first of all, my mom has horrible credit 490. tried to get my older sister (college student) a car. we finally got approved at nissan for a brand new 2010 car nissan versa. car note = 310, car insurance = 300 with $500 down payment. (allstate) the thing is, the car is under my mom's name and not my sister's with her fairly good credit (611 i think). my mom has the income and my sister has the good credit score. the note is going to build mom's credit.
