Has anyone heard of ERG & Associates? I received a call from them regarding an unpaid payday loan with Midland Financial and I can't find any info on them.

i filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy and got my discharge but today i got served and am now being sued by one of my creditors i think it might have been a secured debt but can they sue me even though i have a discharge and they were included in it

I am getting phone calls from RRS saying they are refering a case number to an attorney in my area. I have never heard of this company, there is no entries on my credit report of any delinquent debts, and I have received absolutely no mail from this company. They say they are taking me to court, FOR WHAT? I have a BS in Law, and as far as i can recall, this is in violation of the FCRA. What should I do, I want them the stop calling me!

I'm trying to learn what to look out for on credit reports and would like to start a thread and put in different things to get feedback as to what is a normal listing versus listings that need to be questioned, etc. I have changed the company names and account numbers. On this first one, it is a medical listing, but actually is shown on there 2 times with only the difference being in the closed, paid and when it will be removed and the difference in the actual account number itself, being listed one digit apart. I just don't understand this listing at all.

They are a legitimate company...people in debt need to quit whining and screaming "SCAM" instead of just paying their debts. I had an overdrafted bank account that was sold to them (many companies do this) and was able to settle my account for less than I owed.

Does anyone know if the interest paid on a student loan currently being garnished is tax deductible? I filed my 1040 EZ before the DOE (Dept. Of Education) informed me that I paid over $2,500.00 in interest on a total garnishment of over $4,100.00 last year. If so, what's my next step?

I received a call at work today from a blocked call stating her name was "Heather" and she was calling in regards to a legal matter, and needed my to call to see if I could get it released before she had to serve me. She gave me a claim # as well as the number 877-899-0629 to call.

I just rec'd a settlement offer from B of A, and the fax states the last four digits of the credit card, and paid in full, etc. Will this suffice? They are also going to do an electronic check withdrawal from the account I give them. Does this all sound on the straight and narrow? Thanks!

I just took the five year plan because it reduced my interest rate from 27.9 to 8.25. Got my hours cut a while back and feeling it now. I was 90 days late and took the offer. Can i still try to settle after this or am i locked in now, unless i go 90+ days again. Thanks. Balance is 4500

i don't know what to do?.......i can't get approved for a loan and my credit isn't getting any better.....what can i do to help me pay all my bills
