Hi. I didn't want to hi-jack other threads, so I thought I'd start this one. I live in Florida. I was served a summons yesterday. Says a lawsuit has been filed against me. It is from Marcadis & Associates on behalf of FIA Card Services f/k/a Bank of America. Says I have 20 calendar days from yesterday (5/20) to file a written response. Also says "a phone call will not protect you" but I'm not sure what they mean by that. In the complaint the "Plaintiff demands judgment against the Defendant in the sum of ($11k +), together with interest and court costs.

What is the best way to deal with Ameriloan? I sent them an email back in Feb for them not to call and they still continue to call my phone. I have paid them way over what I owe them have gone through the BBB hoping that they would just accept my offer and let it go, but they are terrible to deal with. I am going to file a claim with the FTC, what is the best way to go after these guys.

they deposited money into my account on 4/19 and with drew on 4/30 so i did not fill out any loan papers with them my account with my bank be closed on the 16 and this transaction went through on the 19 I tried calling the 888-324-4069 the # is no longer in service so now I have frozen down this account to make sure no transactions go in or out but since i did this can they cause problems with me because I did try out for a payday loan but I was denied because I didnt have direct deposit but then all of a sudden this transaction shows up on a closed account please help

Hello, I've already filed my answer letter in Indiana Lake County Court 3 days ago and I'm finished with my motion to strike affidavit letter and would also like to include a sworn denial letter when I go to the court house tomorrow. I know a sworn denial letter must be notarized, but I don't know the first thing about making one or if I even need one with my motion to strike. Please help me... Thank You

Some foreign guy called my work and said he was from a law firm in Florida! He was representing Laser Lending on a loan that I took out in 2007. The loan was for 200.00 and I paid 180.00. I have no problem with paying what I owe but he says I owe 320.00 out of court. He said thaT IF i DIDN'T MAKE A DECISION BY 6:00PM that they would get me for bank fraud and deception! He also stated that I have participated in criminal activity. I asked if I could call when I got off of work and he said that was ok...this was at 9:30am! He then calls back at 11:30am but I couldn't take the call.
