How long should I not pay my credit cards before I try to settle. I am 4 month late now. Should I start settling now or do I have to wait 6 months

Citibank would not settle less then 60%, I work with them for 6 months before it was charge off to a thrid party :( Received the first call today: my heart sunk, the guy acted like a jerk at first, screaming and yelling and calling me a deadbeat. I kept quiet and even agree with him. Then he offer me 50%, said I don???t have it. He said how about 40%, nope don???t have it, he said how much do you have? I told him I had 15 % if he would take it right now and he said how about 20%.

Hello, I am in the process of consolidating my loans and am being harrassed by CG Services. They have not contacted me with any information regarding a garnishment although are harrassing me and now called my employer regarding garnishing my wages. I was told by the consolidation company that if garnishment is done that I cannot pay the loan through consolidation. Why would this company do this? It seems inhumane that people could be this rude and just plain out of sync with humanity.

should i send this letter to the credit card company i owe or to the collection agency attempting to collect the debt?
