Debt free?

Allied Interstate has been calling my phone starting exactly at 8 in the morning, apparently that is okay. But the problem I have is when they call my parents, and now even my in-laws. They will not communicate any validation regarding the debt the apparently own. I have a settlement letter from another company, with the same account number they claim now to own. What do i need to do to stop the phone calls to people other than me?

Got a response from BBB about SSM Group. SSM says I still owe $390 because I haven't paid down the principle but I've already paid over $1300. My response was that I have already paid the loan amount and I demand a refund. SSM is threatening collections. I'm inpA and they are out ofkansas - an I correct to stand my ground?

i have a payday loan with dollar quick/dollar flash in south carolina it is an internet payday loan. I have asked for their license number that shows that they are registered in my state, but they will not provide that, what they do provide is the following: Utah permits service of a legal process to be made to a designated agent, our designated agent is Kelly Reichert National Registered Agents, 3622 N Bay SLC, UT 84043. They would still have to have her registered in SC and follow SC lending laws correct? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

In Brief - my wife has a Credit Card which she took out from Citibank in India. We have since moved to Ethiopia and are about to move again. We ran up a bill of around 140,000rs and then subsequently tried to pay it from here. The card limit was 120000. As the amounts rose we tried to pay it - once we made a payment of 500USD and then later a payment of 800USD but on neither occasion were we able to bring the debt down sufficently in order to cope with the charges.

Hello, I was sued for an old credit card long forgotten, and unfortunately was never notified until my bank account dropped by a rather large amount. When I investigated, I learned that I was defaulted on (not sure how I was sued without being served), and that my wages were in the process of being garnished as well as the bank withdrawal. I'm not crying about being sued; I was young and stupid and you make your own luck in life. What I'm most interesting in is that initial bank garnishment.

Do you think it is possible to consolidate a debt of aproximately $5,000.00 in smalldebts like c.c.'s and payday loans into one monthly payment?

So I settled Chase today 25% at 59 days late. I am thrilled. Then BofA/FIA called so I took it. I thought what the heck I will ask them for settlement. I am 60 days late. I have one card of each. FIA is 12,000 and BofA bus card is 45,000. They said they will put them together??? They offered 50%..I said I can't do that. So she was really, really nice. I told her our whole terrible sob story and she said for sure we qualify for a settlement. She said to figure out how much we could come up with and she will take it to her manager.

So here's my question...I have been following the great advice here on the forums about dealing with my 5 online (ILLEGAL IN FLORIDA, TOO) payday loans, and have sent the C&D emails, etc. to all. Now I get a call today from ARM Collections saying that they want me to call back n a hour, etc. They did not mention who they are collecting for. The funny part about this is that I have found their address and they are located literally 2 blocks from my house!
