Most have been reasonable and setting up payment plans.. however payday 1 and first bank of delaware are operated by Think Cash and are short term loans... they told me they do not have to follow OHIO laws,, only Delaware law where they are located. I had a payday loan with them and have filed bankrupcy. The debt I owe them should be cleared... however they are saying that the original check for $300 still needs to be paid. Is this actually legal? I'm not giving them a penny since I have filed already... Is this just another scare tatic/scam? They are a licensed company but... not sure.

I have a money judgment against me for about 20k. My wife bought a home prior to our marriage and my debt was incurred before we were ever together. My question is: can the judgment creditor have a lien placed on the home if I'm not on the deed but listed as a mortgagor on the loan? Sincerely.... Freaking out!

Hi, I just got a phone call from NRS claiming that I owe 2 loans for Authorized Payday aka Platinum Cashlink. First, I acknowledge that I took out a loan on 4/2007, but they claim that there was a piggy back loan on 5/2007, which I never authroized. They are claiming I owe $874, but my original loan was for $450 and with interest I think the total was only like $550. I know that the orginial loan did go into collections, which I promptly paid in 2008. They have no record of this and claim that they just received this debt 4/23/2010. What can I do to resolve this?

I was served a summons and being sued by Equable Ascent Financial, LLC representated by Blatt, Hasenmiller, Leibsker, and Moore LLC this afternoon. I reside in Lake County, Indiana. I have 20 days to answer the summons. This lawsuit is for the auto loan financed through Wells Fargo Financial, Inc. I am not sure why Equable Ascent Financial, LLC is suing me since I do not recall corresponding with Equable? In the summons paperwork, there was a third paperwork attached stating Affidavit of Indebtedness filed in Cook County, Illinois stating that I owed Equable Ascent Financial 15008.08.

is there 1 set rule 4 all states how long can an entry stay on your report? 7 yrs? would that be from the open date?
