I am in the process of cleaning up my credit report. My score is currently listed at 530, so I'm hoping to reach the 600's by next year with paying off debts/collections, etc. I currently have three collection accounts showing as "potientally negative"... I would like to try a "Pay for Delete" with all three of these accounts but I've never done this before. I read about it on this forum. One account is in collections for a charged off credit card in the amount of $631.15. The original creditor was Continental Finance and the CA is FBCS in Hatvoro, PA.

My husband got served with garnishment paper work, the paperwork does not say what it is for but they already have taken money from his check. My husbands pay goes off of, Salary & Job bonuses. Are they allowed to take from the job bonuses or is the salary what they take from?

I set up payment with them, as I was waiting for a deposit to go in. they told me i could cancel or change the date if i had to. Well i had to cancel the payment, but they refused to cancel it. they have put that same check in now, 3 times. what do i do. I am thinking of going to my bank and telling them not to accept anything from them. I am also writing a letter to the original creditor letting them know what is going on. please, someone tell me what i should do. they have 2 other checks also set up. i still have not received the deposit we are waiting for. thank you.

do lawyers call you when you have an unpaid credit card..they say there lawyers and they call 8-10 a day 7 days a week.

I know that I had originally posted with my name as the title of the thread, but I wanted to start over so that others that get the same call can get the information also. I don't mean to clog the boards! I got a call from a "Max Hall" with United States Affidavit & Investigation Services. He told me that he needed to verify information with me regarding my upcoming court case. Since he said all of this as though I should know all about it and I didn't, I said "what court case?" He then went on to ask had my attorney not briefed me on the case?

I have twice now received calls from Payday Loan collectors regarding my husband's ex-wife. The first time I was told they were a law firm and the second time, the call came from the Bam Group. They tell me that they are calling me because I was listed as a reference on the ex's loan application. Is this possible or do these collectors just call anyone with the same last name randomly looking for someone to tell them where the debtor is located?
