It has been a year since I defaulted. I have been in a contract with PDL Assistance to settle my loans. (Not advertising, just couldn't handle it on my own) They are not getting any responses to their settlement letters recently, probably because it has been so long. I could really use the money that has accumulated in my account towards other bills. If I cancel & end the program, ..... What is the likelihood that these people will surface again to collect? There are 6 remaining. 2 storefronts, 1 legal, and 3 illegal.

If you are holding my $$ in an account for say six months and I am not paying, I read that after 180 days the credit card company writes off your balance. If that is so then why do I need your services. I will late with all my payments, have bill collectors calling while I am setting aside $$ to give who after the credit card companies write off the debt

Has anyone had any dealings with Allied International Credit out of VA? I got a letter from them stating they are collecting for HSBC. They've also left messages at home stating "they are going to be making a decision for me" if I don't call them back. I sent them a DV letter. I am trying to settle an HSBC account and AIC's letter only referenced the last for digits of the account number. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thaks

Anyone ever hear or dealt with Absolute Collection Corp. I sent a debit Validation letter on the sixth of March I also asked only to be contacted by letter. I received a phone call from a Derrick Jones from phone number 877-771-3323 asking for a return call from either us or our legal counsel before he gives his recommendations. Again has anyone every heard of or dealt with Absolute Collection Corp. and can we say we only want to deal with the original creditor. Thanks for any help.

Is anyone else as irritated as I that this outfit is going to charge $1 for a paper statement for their private-label cards? We will never use the card again (J.Crew) but will instead use a bank card at J.Crew going forward. I understand they are the only bank doing this. Are they doing the same thing for their bank cards?
