I just got a letter in the mail that I have judement and need to pay in full or call them to make payments on paycheck before taxes. What do I do? I have this account in debt sttlement company and they said after 6 months they can work on a judgement. What do I do until then?

did any one ever hear of a company called ICOLLECT Also in Oct i got a phone call from and indian guy who said he was an attorney and i owed money to quickcash.com. I did have loans so like a dummy i paid 953.00 via debit card. when i called the number two days later to get receipt, guess what a guy answered said they were some comp and i had the wrong number and now this week another indian guy claiming to be an attorney called but i paid my loans. what can i do he keeps harrassing me

Thanks everyone for the advice and information you are giving. I have two discover credit cards that have 10k on each of them. I'm only one month behind on one of them. But I simple can't pay them off because of the hours that where cut from my job. They haven't called yet, and I attempted to work something out before I stopped paying but they couldn't help me out. They offered me a hardship with 3.99% but the monthly bill was the same. So that wouldn't work.

I live in the state of Texas and have multiple internet payday loans. I wanted to find out if all the loans are illegal in the state of Texas. The loans are with the following companies. My Cash Now Zip 19 United Cash Loans US Fast Cash Check n Go Cashnet USA I have closed my bank account so that they cannot debit anymore money from my account. For one of the companies I have paid more than what the principal was on the loan. Could someone send a template for a letter asking that they mark my account as paid in full.

I live in KY and know that they operating illegal in my state. They called wanting 750 this morning, which I don't have. I am willing to pay back the principal of the loan and I am not even required to do that according to house bill 444 of KY. They won't give me an address to mail any payments and said if they gave me there address that any money I mailed in would be lost. Then they said they are trying to keep this in-house but if I didn't get back with them by the end of the day it would be sent to a 3rd partey and much more will be due them 750. What should I do about this?

Hi, I have a Cap.1 credit card that's been in collection for a couple of months now. Owe $1791.53 I haven't spoken to or replied to the CA yet, but I know I need to do something about this soon. I also have a Cap.1 with a $5200 bal. with a $130.00 min. payment that's one payment behind, now min is $302.41 because of $39 late, $39 overlimit and ( great timing, Cap.1) $59 annual fee. My house and car are both current and I have four other credit cards that will be back under control this month.I sold the last two thing's that I had that where of any value.

Hi, 3 years ago I loaned my brother in law about 30 g's. I did not have the money, so I stupidly took out a unsecure loan. He was supposed to pay it back within 6 months, as he said he had some business he was doing. He has never paid a dime, and I have made every attempt to get him to pay it off, and he refuses to even make the minimum payment. I have made payments of about 13,000 so far. My question is...How much, if any, can I deduct as a "bad debt" for tax reasons? All 30 or just what I have paid?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this or not but I need assistance on what to do. I received a notice from my mortgage company stating that my home was in foreclosure blah blah blah and that all the payments I have sent were just sitting in "surplus" because I was less then $100 short on one payment. So they have just been collecting the payments and NOT doing anything with them and now I have to go to Moneygram and pick up the ones that have been sent back (nice I know) SO ANYHOW they have scheduled my house to sell in May....
