How To Fix My Debt

Ok long story short, i hit a bump on the road and ended up with a good bit of debt. I just pulled my credit a few minutes ago and i appears I can fix the majority of it on my own. My big accounts are 11g 7g and 2g. Really at this point i can even square away the 2g if I needed to My question is what can I do to get myself back on track. Ive been held back for so long because i never heard anything positve about dept consolidation and I wasent so sure about bankruptcy if there was some way I could fix it myself Thanks in advance for the help

Deseperate and scared

Hi all. I have been lurking here for several months and finally registered today. I am a small business owner and have been funding my business with credit cards for 5 years. I know it's stupid, but the banks wouldn't help me. My business has been growing each year, but so have the expenses, so it seems I am always spending more than I bring in. With the last years nightmare recession, we are strapped. My debts are not frivolous. I am paying payrolls and rent and utilities. I have canceled all my personal services to try and save money.

pursue settlement together or separate?

My husband and I have 95K in credit card debt, split 60K/35K between us. We both work full time and my husband recently lost his additional part time job. We are now unable to make our monthly payments and are considering debt settlement. Should we pursue settlement together or separately?

State Farm credit card - stopping payment

My husband has a State Farm credit card in his name only with $25,000 debt in Florida. We need to stop our payments as we can't afford to pay any more. Everything else we own is in both our names. Has anyone had experience in dealing with State Farm Bank in defaulting on your credit card and what we can expect once we stop payment? How difficult they are to work with? We have already had 2 foreclosures on rental properties and are paying on the home we live in. We have just been paying the minium each month...but only get farther and farther behind. Help!

student loan garnishment and 1099 status

I am a real estate agent and I get paid 1099. I already checked with the Real Estate board here in my state and they told me that I would NOT lose my license for not paying my student loan debt. I have $90,000 in credit card debt from a failed investment business I ran with my daughter. Its a priortiy for me to pay this debt off because of it being in both of our names. My student loans are over $75,000 Private and I am considering letting them slide for a year or so while I work on this credit card mess.

1099 pay? and garnishment

OK, here is my story. I have $75,000 in credit card debt. I am currently under hardship programs with most of the companies. Some of the larger cards I am working out debt settlement programs, one by one and making payments on the smaller ones to slowly decrease the debt. I am selling everything I have that I dont need and even making a little money on the side with a small Ebay business to help with this. My salary comes from two independent contractor sales jobs that pay me not as an employee but as an independent 1099.

need help!

hey everyone, sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place but I need some help. I few years ago I bought a timeshare at one of those high pressure sales pitches. I thought it was a good idea at the the time but now I can't afford the maintenance fees and the property taxes i have to pay every year. Does anyone know of a place that can sell my timeshare for me? I've tried several listing companies with no luck. When I look on ebay there are timeshares going for $1. Is my timeshare that I payed a butt load for really only worth a dollar? thanks,
