I've just settled my financial school loans payment with NCO Financial Systems and I'm kinda curious if they are a legitimate company or not?! Anyways, do you think this was a good idea to settle with them? If not, can I change or switch this to another company that you would recommend for me? Thanks. A. Ching

I have about 55k in debt. 6 cards biggest 32k to BOA and 23k split to others. My guess is BOA will go a year or 2 before I can save enough to pay them! or should I just bite the bullet and go Chap 7 or 13! I own 2 homes with about 10k equity in both, But becuase there are so many rental I must cover $300 -$400 a month to keep current

:)Hi everyone! I'll give you a quick synopsis of our situation. We have approximately $24,000 worth of cc debt with various creditors, 11 to be exact. We are currently 6mos. behind on all. My husband, our sole provider, was out of work for about a year. We kept paying our bills till the money ran out. He has since found a job(thanks be to God), but earning half of what he was making. We can survive on his salary, but cannot pay the cc bills. So my question to you all is what is the first step in trying to negotiate with my creditors. Is there a letter to send? Do I call?

I'm mulling over starting BK proceeding soon, and already contacted CCCS for the mandatory credit counseling session. I would do the online/phone option. Here's my situation. I'm a divorced single mom, and all my debt is my own. I pretty much live paycheck to paycheck, but know that I can weedle my discressionary spending down by $100-$200 per month (just have never been able to stick with a budget in the past, and I'm 38 years old). This is why I'm considering BK instead of debt management through CCCS. My Equifax score is currently 549.

I'm being sued by Attorney Frederick Hanna & Co. for a Cap 1 account in Superior court. When they sent their DC letter, I responded within 30 days with a DV letter. It's for $5K+. They went ahead and sued me. The plaintiff is listed as Capital One Bank (USA) NA. I recently set payments up with a ca for one of my payday loans. The amount was to be for 250 to be split up into a few payments. Looking back over my stuff I realized that I had already made payments to the original payday loan that I had forgotten about. Now my question is with the next payment that will go to the ca on friday and with what I have paid in the past the amount will be more than what the origianl loan was for, I'll still have another payment scheduled with the ca.
