I received an alias summons yesterday, Jan 5 (wasn't delivered to me since I wasn't home but given to my girlfriend). It was 4 pages and the first states at the top "This is an arbitration case". Can somebody explain what that means? I live in Illinois and Blitt & Gaines is listed as the plaintiff and this is for a Citibank account of mine that I last paid on in August 2008. I'm not disputing the amount owed (around $11k). I lost my job twice in the last year and a half and used all my savings during my time being unemployed.

Hi, Back in October, I got served with papers saying I was being sued by cap 1 for 1300 dollars. I talked to an attorney and he said to deny everything on the answer and I did that. I just got the exhibts in the mail and they don't prove anything! They included a customer agreement, and some case studies where people were sued and the collection agency won. I was told by the lawyer I talked to the attorneys were actual collection companies and that he deals with them all the time. I know that my SOL isn't up but I need some help..

So now I find out I can't get the pension loan right now to settle with Citibank. I was supposed to talk with them this Friday, let them debit $350 good faith payment, and pay the rest over 2 months (about $12,200 total but they were settling for 35%). I guess it serves me right for feeling so optimistic before I actually had the funds. Now I have to wait until April to get the loan. Now what do I do? Do I let it go to collections and hope I can settle with the collection agency? I was hoping not to have any thing go to collections because isn't that worse for your credit?:mad:

Does anyone have the corporate number for Cash Net USA? I just wanted to set up an extended payment plan of 6 payments, and the collections department on the phone will only let me extend it to 4 payments. I have been a great customer, never defaulted, and am just looking for these two extra payments. I thought perhaps if I try going higher, I might get a better result. Otherwise, I think I will have to default on the 15th and see what happens. Thanks!

I have been trying to settle our debts now for the past few months and have some very nice settlement offers. BOA wouldn't come down from 32% until today. When they called, they offered 20% over 3 months - which they said was their bottom line. Our 3 BOA cards are due to charge off at the end of this month. The problem is that 20% is going to be over $6000. We don't have that right now and if we stretch it out over 3 months, we will have nothing to live off of. BOA has added thousands in late fees & over the limit fees to our original balance.

It's been a while since I've had problems with payday loans, and someone asked me for help regarding this. The Ca keeps verifying their account but we can't seem to find any information on Data Processing Easy Loans. Anyone by chance have any information on who this[COLOR=#FF0000] is? Both of us have looked on Google, and I've done a search on here but come up missing. In the meantime I suggested they get a hold of their old bank statements from around when they had payday loans to see if it was listed somewhere with a # for them to call.

Can I post debt settlement lead offers on this site?

As a new member I would like to know how many out there this service has truly work for them and if so how long did it take to get the process going from start to finish, how was your credit affected and what if any fees were involved??? Thanks all honesty is appreciated:p
